ZenGut™ is the goal we are all striving for! Living an active and productive life starts with good health. We want to help you take control of your gut health through safe, convenient, delicious food.
We started working on the project in 2016 but we only started selling to customers this summer (2018).
508 Brands is an innovation incubator, backed by Campbell Soup Company. We are working to build purpose-driven food businesses from the ground up.
We are a small group of “intrepreneurs” (entrepreneurial-minded insiders) who cofounded this new business within Campbell Soup Company. We have access to Campbell’s experts as a resource in some aspects of our work, but work independently in the style of a startup. Campbell is fostering this kind of growth and innovation.
As part of the Campbell incubator, we use the pilot plant in Camden, New Jersey. This is the production space where Campbell makes test batches and small scale runs of new products. Having access to this state-of-the-art equipment, and getting advice from Campbell experts, allows us to produce our first batches of soup in a way that is safe and consistently delicious.
Understanding that the food we eat has such a deep impact on our bodies, we have put a lot of thought into our ingredients. In addition to creating recipes that meet the Low FODMAP certification standards, all of our ingredients are non-GMO. If you’re curious to hear more about a particular ingredient, please reach out at email@example.com! We’d be happy to give you the details.
Yes! Starting July 1st you will be able to buy the soups on Casa de Sante’s online store. We are working to expand our distribution, so please check back soon for any updates.
Yes, our white cup is made from plastic that is safe to microwave. As always, if you have more in-depth questions, please get in touch.
The cup is not made with BPA. However, the small metal rim around the top of the cup contains BPA. This is certainly not ideal, but in order to make sure that our soups and broth were microwaveable, this was our only option. We are exploring ways to remove all BPA from our packaging. Please reach out if you have questions.
The paperboard sleeve is recyclable and our white cup is recyclable in towns and cities that accept #5 plastics.
The Low FODMAP diet was originally developed by a team at Australia’s Monash University to help people suffering from IBS and other gut issues like IBD, SIBO, and Crohn’s. The diet is designed to avoid certain types of sugars that cause gut discomfort for some people.
FODMAPs are short-chain carbohydrates that are tough to digest for certain people. Registered dietitian, Kate Scarlata, and FODMAP Friendly are great resources for understanding which foods fall under this category.
We’ve gone to the experts! Every time we create a new recipe (or change an ingredient), we send our soup to Australia. There, the team at FODMAP Friendly uses specific lab tests to verify whether our soups fall under the specific thresholds of acceptable FODMAP levels.
There are many online resources for learning more about the Low FODMAP diet. A few of our trusted sources include Kate Scarlata, Registered Dietitian; Monash University, where the diet was originally developed; and FODMAP Friendly, the organization that lab tests and certifies all of our products.
All of our product details are listed here.
Set up some time to meet with your doctor. Depending on your doctor’s recommendations, you may want to schedule some follow up conversations with a gastroenterologist or a registered dietitian.
No. We are proud to say that all ZenGut™ soups and broths are non-GMO.

No! You can pour the soup or broth into a pot and heat it on the stove. You can also drink any of our soups and broths at room temperature if you prefer.
Our recipes were created to taste best when warm. We recommend heating up our soups and broths or drinking them at room temperature.
Calorie and nutrition-wise, a cup of our soup would not constitute a full meal. Most of our team eats ZenGut™ as a snack or as part of a more complete meal.
Yes, and we hope you will. As you probably know by now, it can be tough to find onion- and garlic-free broths. Check back soon for a list of recipes if you need some inspiration.
The expiration date is printed in black ink directly on the bottom of the white cup.
Please give us a call at 1-800-794-2404, or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Quality is of highest importance to us, and if something is not right, we want the chance to fix it right away.
All of our sleeves are hand-applied. While we try our best to make sure that they arrive in perfect condition, they occasionally loosen during shipping. The soup is still safe to eat, but if you are concerned, please feel free to reach out and email us a photo at email@example.com.
